Small Town River Village
in Hunterdon County, New Jersey

Wake up on a sunny Saturday morning, stretch a little, pet the dog, get ready for your day.  Head down to the local cafe for a quick bite and a look at the newspaper before a spending the morning antique shopping and taking in the Delaware River. 

This could be you if you live in this quaint and somewhat hidden Delaware River village.  Frenchtown, which has been
overshadowed by its more famous neighbors to the south,  Stockton and Lambertville, has come into its own during the past few years as people have realized the tremendous value in this area.  Although situated directly on the Delaware River, this town is about 15 minutes from Route 78 and Clinton, providing access to all of northern New Jersey and Manhattan.  

Most of the downtown district has been restored and is full of popular antiques, home decor, gift, and clothing stores, art galleries, and restaurants.  And with its own bridge the Delaware River, residents enjoy quick access to Bucks County Pennsylvania and all of its attractions.

Originally called 'Sunbeam', Frenchtown holds several annual events including Bastille Day in July, Community Day in September, and a Fall Open House Weekend in October.  

Homes here tend to be of 19th to mid 20th Century vintage and include single family homes and multi-families. Most residents are within close proximity of most services including the local elementary school. Newer homes are generally available in the surrounding townships such as Alexandria and Kingwood and
often come with a little bit of land.
