Hidden Valleys and Rolling Hills 
Along the River in 
Hunterdon County, New Jersey
Sometimes you experience a place that feels like its at the end of the world.  Usually, that place is not in New Jersey and within 10 minutes of a major interstate highway.  This town of about 13 square miles is tucked away in a corner of the state that many people never visit--even those searching for homes in Hunterdon.

The eastern half Holland Township generally includes homes 
from mid 20th Century brick ranches to newer construction.  
The western half of town, full of hills and valleys and some very winding roads, offers much of the same but with more historic properties. 

One neighborhood in Holland Township, called Pursley's Ferry is such a hidden historic gem that few people, even in the area, know it exists.  Hidden behind the train tracks and a local paper factory is a wonderful grouping of historic properties and river views. 

Another road Holland Township which snakes its way along the Delaware River is so narrow that, in some places, you have to hope that no one is coming the other way.  But don't worry, this town also has regular roads to get you where you need to go.

There is also a locally famous landmark here that is, again, a hidden treasure.  A full size windmill can be found along one of
the quiet roads at the top of the mountain in the center of 
Holland Township.
