Madison New Jersey, known as the Rose City,
straddles
bustling Route 124 in southeastern Morris County. With a
stop on the direct Morris and Essex train line to Manhattan,
downtown Madison offers many shops, restuarants, and
services.
South of the train station, large historic
homes line the hillsides
and tree-lined streets. The Madison Hill is home to many late 19th and
early 20th century estate homes. Because of its location, Madison has
become so popular that some smaller homes are now being purchased, torn
down and rebuilt into
grander properties.
Madison is a college town with Drew
University in close
proximity to downtown as well as a couple of other colleges
just down the road.
