Country charm is alive and well in the New
York Metropolitan
region. Chester New Jersey (including Chester Borough and
Chester Township) is centered around a bustling country
village offering craft stores, antique shops, restaurants and
historic architecture. Almost every weekend is feels like a
festival as locals descend on the town to partake of its many
charms. The annual peach festival was recently written up
in a major national magazine.
Chester itself offers a couple of small
shopping districts
with most of the basics including a grocery store, hardware,
and clothing. Major shopping is close by at the Bridgewater
Commons to the south and Route 46 to the north.
